Procedure to Install HP ALM/QC
Step 1: Download: Initially, the present version of the HP Quality Center/ALM software (HP ALM 11.52) needs to be downloaded.
For this, utilize the given link: Download the Free Trial of Micro Focus ALM
On the page, select “HP ALM 11.5 English SW E-media Evaluation” from the drop-down menu labeled “Trials and Demos”.

If you are not yet registered with HP, please do so. When the subsequent screen appears, select the version you require depending on your operating system. I’m going to select the first one.
Note: The guidelines given in this article are intended for a Windows machine.
Click on “Download”.
Software_HP_QC_ALM_11.50_Windows_English_T7333-15018 will be the file that will be downloaded. It’s a 2.5 GB file, and the download duration will depend on the speed of your network.
Step 2: The files should be extracted from the ISO file that was downloaded.
For some reason, I was unable to extract the downloaded file with my regular WinZip app, so I opted for the 7-zip File Manager. Visit this link for detailed information.

Step 3: Although this step may appear tedious, it’s critical: Peruse through the Installation Guide.
This can be located in the “docs” folder within the file structure that was extracted.
Step 4: ALM is built on a client-server architecture. Before proceeding with the installation, you need to have a compatible database server installed on your machine. These requirements can also be located in the “Read me” folder of your downloaded files.
