#1) Your resume might be poorly structured. No one bothers to read it and you haven’t considered revising it.
#2) You lack passion for testing. You are simply pursuing a software testing job like everyone else, seeking employment without genuine interest.
#3) You don’t carefully read the job details before applying. You disregard whether the position aligns with your qualifications.
#4) You lack a compelling and VALID reason for the question – Why do you want to enter/transition into the Software Testing field?
#5) You have not spent time researching job openings, including company information, required skills, and experience.
#6) You are fabricating your software testing experience.
#7) You pretend to possess all the Testing Skills.
#8 ) You believe “Testing is a straightforward task” and “Anyone can do testing”.
#9) You think no training is necessary to work in the software testing field and that you will learn everything once you are hired.
#10) You lack practical examples to support your answers.
Additionally, another reason why you have not yet established a Career in Software Testing is because you come from a non-IT background and now want to transition to software testing. However, you lack the necessary skills for software testing jobs and you don’t even bother learning about STLC and SDLC.
Oh! There are so many “You’s” here. Why? Because you are solely responsible for your career. No one can deny you a software testing job without a valid reason. Discover the actual reason. After all, employers always select the most suitable candidate for their positions. Reflect on how you can become that perfect fit for them!
Remember, you won’t secure any job without putting in the hard work.
